Lianne Krakauer is a career and leadership coach and organizational development consultant with 20 years of experience in professional services, law, education and the public sector.
Lianne uses a solutions focused coaching approach, which emphasizes strengths, generates a sense of personal competence, and leads to practical results.
Her aim in coaching is to focus on how clients can best leverage their strengths to bring about positive and lasting change.
Lianne understands the challenges of navigating complex organizations and changing work place environments. She seeks to understand the unique context and circumstances of each client in order to support them to assess, plan and take action to achieve their goals. She takes a highly collaborative approach to all of her client engagements and encourages open and straightforward communication, ongoing learning and mutual respect.
Lianne’s multi-disciplinary background in law and counseling psychology has provided a solid foundation for coaching. Her formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts from Western, a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Education (Counselling Psychology), both from the University of Toronto, and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University. She has specialized training in Solutions Focused Coaching and is certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®, a psychological instrument that supports individual growth and team development.
Lianne’s prior leadership positions include the Assistant Dean, Career Services at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, and Principal Consultant at PSTG Consulting in the Human Resource Practice Group, as well as various senior roles with the Ontario Public Service. She has been a Board member of several community organizations, currently serving on the Board at Working Women Community Centre in west end Toronto.
Lianne is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists. She is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC), a designation granted by the ICF recognizing coaches who have completed over 750 hours of individual coaching.
In her spare time Lianne is an avid yoga practitioner and occasional teacher.
